run happy?

I now have a new future goal: to run a 13.1 and finish happy!! All three halves I've ran, I've struggled with at least the last three miles and dragged myself across the finish line.

Let me draw your attention to Exhibit A. My shirt says "Run Happy". HA.
Go ahead, shoot me. It's ok.

The rest of the pics from that one aren't much better!
Oh look. The finish line. Yay.

I kinda like this one - look, I actually have hair - except that I'm stopping my garmin!

Yeah, the face says it all.

Stopped running as soon as I hit the mats. Yep, over it!

  1. Hahaha, I love that you wore a Run Happy shirt and didn't smile for your pictures. :) Where did you get that shirt? It's really cute!

I see you didn't wear your calf sleeves!!!

  2. To be fair, I didn't see the cameras, and at the finish line, I just plain forgot they'd be taking pics!

I first saw the shirt at the AF Marathon expo. I resisted buying it there but I bought one online. It's a Brooks shirt. Ronckers has the short sleeved version but they didn't have the long sleeved one last time I was there. It's super soft and comfy.

You're right! The shin splints I had before are not an issue anymore. Now to get rid of the giant brace I've been wearing for the calf strain! (Actually, I do have a calf sleeve on under it - figured a little extra support couldn't hurt.)
